Quality & Compliance Manager Selby
We’re looking for an operationally focussed Quality & Compliance Manager to join our busy Selby Site on a permanent, full-time basis!
Reporting to the site Operations Manager, you will be a key player within the Operations Team, managing the quality function for the site.
You will manage and develop the quality/compliance function to develop an environment focused on quality, ensuring the business has the right skills, processes, materials, information and procedures to consistently meet stakeholder requirements and the standards established by formal management systems (e.g. ISO 9001 / BRC / FSC).
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders to ensure Food Safety & Quality is at the forefront of all new product developments, processes, and procedures.
Ensure the integrity of the quality/ISO and FSC systems are maintained and developed, thereby contributing to the achievement of consistent operational performance and standards.
HACCP Reviews and update training undertaken.
Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly QA duties are completed to a satisfactory standard.
Co-ordinate and deliver refresher quality training and tool box talks as and when necessary.
Ensure that satisfactory hygiene standards are maintained at all times in the main operational areas of the site.
Attend and actively participate in relevant operational meetings, e.g. SMT meetings, daily production meetings.
Ensure complaints are dealt with in an effective manner and look at root causes to minimise recurrence of issues.
Ensure third party accreditations and compliance schemes remain compliant Person Profile The right person for this role will have :
Demonstrable experience from a QA Manager/ QS Manager type role, within an FMCG/ Manufacturing environment
Experience of managing quality systems, ideally including BRC, ISO 14001, and 18001
Strong coaching, mentoring skills, leading others to be their very best
A valid food hygiene certificate
Experience of Industry standards/guidelines (e.g. Pharmaceutical Code of Practice/Hygiene Regulations)
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
The ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex numerical and verbal data
The ability to make Quality and Compliance “interesting” to all employees
